Helpful hints for authors:
Several factors weigh heavily
in determining a successful review process for authors. Similarly to all
leading journals, scholarly rigor of course is foremost among those
factors. Indicators of scholarly rigor re the
Journal of Macromarketing,
which often are overlooked by authors:
-
The paper is
truly macromarketing-oriented (insights on this criterion are provided
throughout the website and of course actual issues of
JMM);
-
The paper is
integrated into appropriate streams of literature and cites relevant
literature from the Journal of Macromarketing;
-
The paper
makes a substantial contribution to the macromarketing discipline
and/or expands the discipline in meaningful ways.
-
The paper is
well written and organized, lucid, terse, and formatted vis-à-vis the
Journal's guidelines.
As interest in macromarketing grows, globally, we have been
receiving an increasing number of submissions from international authors
writing in English as a second language. In an effort to address
concerns about preparing these manuscripts for publication, SAGE has
identified a company, SPi, which offers language polishing services to
authors of manuscripts in the areas of science, technology, medicine,
and the social sciences. SPi specializes in editing and correcting
English-language manuscripts written by authors with a primary language
other than English. SAGE has completed an examination of their services
and has found that their work meets SAGE's standards. For more
information about SPi and their Professional Editing Services, please

Please be aware that SAGE and the Editorial Boards of JMM have
no affiliation with SPi and make no endorsement of the company.
Authors’ use of their services in no way guarantees that a submission
will ultimately be accepted. Any arrangement authors enter into will be
exclusively between authors and SPi, and any costs incurred are the
sole responsibility of the author. |
